Those of you suffering from post-election depression would do well to read this article by Tyee writer Murray Dobbin, who offers a refreshingly hopeful outlook on the future of the Canadian left.

Secondly, on an entirely unrelated note, I have to link "The Physics of Extra-terrestrial Civilizations" by theoretical physicist Michio Kaku. I typically don't have the patience or understanding to endure writing this purely scientific, but Michio's articles are just mind-blowing. Smoke a joint before tackling this one if at all possible.

Finally, Ms. Laura Penny, who is a member of the teaching faculty at the University of King's College, recently released a book entitled "Your Call is Important to Us: The Truth About Bullshit," revolving around the
"general acceptance of mendacity in public life, political systems, and powerful institutions." Check it out, especially if you live anywhere near the Halifax area.
