Every Name is My Name

I have a new e-identity, and no longer am I stuck in lowercase. Read into that what you will.

These are some great causes, and the art these people produce is nothing short of extroardinary. I have a great deal of respect for these activist/artists and what they do. Ron English's billboard work is incredible - and he gets extra credit for forming probably the best scentence ever: "One God, one party: Republicans for a dissent free theocracy." Truer words were never written.

Just a quick note: I finally got a job today. Looks like I'll be working with the local paper for the summer, doing some writing/reporting/photography and whatever else they decide to throw at me. Should be an interesting experience indeed. I'm elated about the whole thing, as it's practically the only job in town at which I'll get some experience in my chosen field. I'm sick of fucking mowing lawns and doing the shit no one else wants to do. Now, getting paid to write for a summer? That I can handle.

I start on Tuesday. I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm writing from my father's computer, as my baby is in the shop getting fixed up. I can usually fix my comp when it tries to fuck with me, but this time it had some real strange shit going on. I brought it in for a check-up and ended up getting $270 worth of repairs/upgrades due to a fried videocard and poor ventilation/high internal temperature. Needless to say, that's a huge money hit that I wasn't exactly expecting to take. But it's all good. My parents seemed almost freakishly over-eager to pay for it. I didn't ask any questions.

All in all, today's been a good day. And now for my favourite part: the calling of the girlfriend. I'm thinking of posting something "a little different" later. I need to get out of this box I'm in and write something that'll surprise myself. Who knows what will come of that. Check back later.
