Everybody Hates Political Blogs

I'm well aware that you'd all rather me write about how Jenny broke my heart by making out with Erica at the teen sock-hop or how being depressed fuels me to write very deep and very touching poetry, but there are about a million other blogs out there doing that right now, and not a single one is interesting.

You're going to have to come to terms with the fact that over the last 2 years of my life I have become extremely interested in politics and the state of the international system ( thanks mostly to my amazing girlfriend, who I will write more on later ). Mostly because the governments we have in power are exploiting us in more ways than you could ever imagine, and getting educated about it is the first step toward making a change. Knowledge equals power. Obviously, I'm going to write about what I'm interested in.

It wouldn't hurt for most of you to read what I have to say, either. Alot of you don't have a political opinion, and I'd like to try and change that. Political apathy is current plaguing our society, as seen by the abysmal voter turnouts in the last few elections. How can we elect a leader who represents our values and ideals when only a fraction of the population turns out to vote?

Anyway, don't worry. I'm not going to bore you ALL the time. I'm going to try and find a nice middle ground where I can post something political and follow it up with a retardedly irrelevant piece on something like, "How to Have a Good Ol' Newfie Woods Party." Speaking of which, I'm going to go do that now.
