Anime Girls on Your Desktop are Good for the Soul
My current desktop. Got to love the transparencies. They were made possible by Winamp 5 and my Nvidia Gforce 4 MX 440. Customize has a great contributing community of digital artists who are incredible at what they do. The abstract papers are mind blowing.
Rei is on my desktop because she owns, and because the End of Evangelion was one of the greatest works of fiction I've ever seen. I love my overly convoluted storylines with religious overtones ( Xenogears, anyone? ). Fun with existentialism! In my opinion, this film should be a part of the curriculum of every philosophy course. I also think it would be endlessly entertaining to observe the inevitable riots after screening it to an audience of christian fundamentalists. It starts out with a little mindforeplay, which intensifies exponentially with each passing minute, until it eventually rapes your brain in an all-out orgy of incomprehensibility. Wow, that was a very sexual sentence. I hope it was good for you.
That also marks the second time in the history of this blog that I've used 'orgy' and 'incomprehensible' in the same sentence. See, isn't this a fun place to bring the kids?

Hey man,
you are right. End of Evangelion was an amazing work of fiction and that it should be shown to any christian fundamentalist on the planet. A lot of people don't like Shinji Ikari though because they think he is a wimp. I thought he was a realy cool character and how it went into the depths of his mind and also the other characters in the anime.
I think I just love movies where a character has a emotional response to a tragic moment that lets him do things that he wouldn't have been able to if he was not agitated. For example, the part where Shinji sees Asuka after the multiple Evas really tore her apart. That's what I love about this anime, that it doesn't seem like an anime. Felt like seeing a real character in a real movie getting really pissed off....
That's about it....what a good movie...i must watch that again soon.
It's nice to hear some feedback and see people actually making use of the comments feature. I LOVE this comments feature. Hopefully this will be home to some good discussions over the course of this blog.
